From Ecology to Artistry
My professional background in the biological sciences has greatly influenced my approach to woodcarving. I also spent many hours as a conservation volunteer, immersing myself in the natural world. This connection to nature is reflected in the natural designs that often appear in my wooden pieces.

Embracing Tradition and Innovation
Whilst I primarily use traditional carving gouges and knives I also embrace the possibilities of modern tools and techniques. My workshop is a harmonious blend of traditional carving gouges and the precision of power tools, allowing me to explore the depths of detail and texture in my work.
